The typeface Moon Rock was developed initially as hand drawn sketches which were then digitalized. The digital part of the typeface development was carried out using the Glyphs app.
The Moon Rock typeface is a sans-serif display typeface with a tall x-height. The idea and aesthetics of the Moon Rock typeface are a combination of straight lines and smooth transitions. Elegant bends of the “shoulders” in the letter symbols m, n and h contrast with the straight lines of the stems.
This engaging presentation is a code-based project that was developed using HTML, JS, CSS, Processing and p5js.
